About Dedham Films

Welcome to Dedham Films. Our aim is to give you a special cinema experience where you can meet friends, have a glass of wine or beer and then sit back and enjoy great films in your own village. Oh yes, and enjoy delicious ice cream.

Films are screened in Dedham Assembly Rooms on the third Wednesday of every month and entry is £4.00. There’s no membership fee – you can either buy your ticket from our box-office at Shakespeare House Gallery on Dedham High Street, online by clicking on the Ticketsource icon on our ticket page, or take a chance there will be tickets left and pay on the night at the door.  We also offer a season ticket for £40 a year (12 for the price of 10), but currently, to avoid complication for our rather limited office facility, we only sell these is January.

We have our own state-of-the-art equipment offering big screen quality and brilliant sound.

Come and see great films, new and old, from anywhere in the world.  Films you wanted to see but missed and films you didn’t know were out there.  If you love cinema you’ll love Dedham Films!

Dedham Films is a member of the British Federation of Film Societies/Cinema for All.

Since December 2013 we have also installed a satellite receiver dish which enables us to screen LIVE broadcasts from a number of Internationally acclaimed venues, including amongst others the ROH Covent Garden, and The National Theatre. Please click on our DedhamFilms LIVE broadcasts page on this website for details of these forthcoming events.  Prices for LIVE screenings vary according to event and provider.

DVD’S AVAILABLE FROM OUR FREE TO BORROW FILM LIBRARY

As part of our community outreach programme we are pleased to offer DVD/BluRay discs from our lending library.  There is no charge for this service, but we ask that you leave your name and a telephone number so if there should be someone waiting for the film you have on loan, we can contact you.  Films can be collected from one of the regular monthly screenings and returned at the next one.
